Trading Guide

0 to 1 Million Coins

This guide is built for FC 27 and broken down into milestones, so you can work your way to 1 million coins as efficiently as possible. Subscribers get access to live buying and selling prices, Discord support, and step-by-step video guides that walk through every stage in detail.

Stage 1: 0 – 100k Coins

This stage is all about coin farming – making lots of small, quick profits that add up over time. Think of it like a farmer harvesting crops bit by bit until the total becomes something significant. There are several ways to farm coins, but these two methods work best for getting started.

Silver player cards

Silver Players

Silver players work best with the top five leagues. The method is simple – find the minimum buy-now price for Silvers from one of the top five leagues (where there’s typically only one page of results), snipe or bid below it, then relist at the going rate per player – check the average price for each individual card to maximise your profit per flip. Silvers may take a bit longer to sell, but they tend to be more profitable per flip. A useful trick: note down the more valuable silvers you come across and check them periodically on their own – they don’t get monitored as closely as other cards, which means you can often snag better deals on them individually.

Gold player cards

Gold Players

Find the minimum buy-now price for gold players from a single league or club, then snipe or bid on anything listed below it. Remember, you lose 5% of every sale to the EA Tax – so if the minimum price is 600 coins, don’t pay more than 500. Buying at 550 leaves barely any profit. When you relist, check the price for each individual player or position in that league or club since some sell for noticeably more – a quick check per card can make a real difference to your total profit.

Stage 2: 100k – 250k Coins

At this stage you have enough coins to start layering in new strategies alongside coin farming. Don’t drop what’s already working – gold players and silvers are still worth running. But now you can start putting extra coins to work in higher-margin methods that weren’t accessible before.

Mid-Rated Gold Cards

Start looking at quick flips on practical, usable gold cards rated 82-85. Pace matters a lot, especially early in the game’s cycle, so high-pace players tend to be more in demand. Keep a list of players worth targeting – in FC 26, cards like Marcos Llorente, Joelinton, and Marcus Rashford were solid examples. Snipe or bid below the going rate, then relist at what they’re actually selling for. Margins are bigger than coin farming, but these cards are more contested so patience is part of the method. One bonus to watch for: if you win a card with a desirable chemistry style already applied, search for it specifically – it’ll sell for more.

Consumables

Consumables are consistently overlooked. Focus on pace-boosting chemistry styles such as Shadow, Hunter, and Anchor – bidding and sniping these can be very effective. Another angle is over-listing: if Shadows are selling for 3,500 coins, buy 30 of them at 2,800 each, then list them all at 3,800 for buyers who are too lazy to find the lowest price. If they don’t move fast enough, drop back to the standard price – you’ll still walk away with a solid profit on every single one.

Stage 3: 250k – 500k Coins

With a solid coin base built up, this is where things get more interesting. This stage combines two things that have already proven profitable – gold players and chemistry styles – into a single, more powerful method that extracts more value from each card you touch.

Chem Style Trading on Mid-Rated Golds

A card with a desirable chemistry style already applied is worth more than the same card without one – most sellers don’t account for this, which creates the opportunity. Take Marcos Llorente as an example: if he’s selling for 6,000 coins plain and Hunter chemistry styles are going for 3,000, most sellers just list him at 6k. But a buyer who wants him ready to use will pay more. Your job is to find cards with a desirable chemistry style already applied, buy them at the player’s normal going rate, and relist at a premium.

Working Out the Profit

Using Llorente as the example again – if his plain going rate is 6,000 coins but a Hunter-styled version sells for 8,500, that’s a 2,500 coin difference. After the 5% EA Tax on the sale, you’re walking away with roughly 2,000 coins profit per card. Find enough players where that gap exists and run them consistently – more cards on your list means more volume, more profit.

Stage 4: 500k – 1 Million Coins

At this level the fundamentals haven’t changed – the amounts have. Coin farming is still worth running while you wait for bigger cards to sell. The methods below apply the same principles you’ve been using, just on higher-value cards where the profit per flip is significantly larger.

High-Rated Golds

The method is the same as mid-rated cards – find the going rate, snipe or bid below it, then relist at what they’re actually selling for. Focus on usable players rated 84+. The chem style tip from Stage 2 still applies here, but be more careful with the margins at this level since the price gap tends to be smaller. One pattern worth knowing: prices across the market tend to dip briefly around 6pm UK time each day before recovering. Buying during that window and selling once prices bounce back is a reliable daily edge – just make sure the cards are listed and sold before the next content window or promo pack release hits.

Icon Flipping

Once your budget is large enough, Icon flipping becomes one of the highest-margin strategies available. The profits per card are significantly bigger than anything at lower price ranges. The full method is covered in detail in our Icon Trading guide.

Investing

Investing means buying cards and holding them until demand rises. The main target is SBC fodder – cards with the ratings needed to complete Squad Building Challenges. When a new SBC drops, demand for the relevant cards spikes and so does their price. Investment tips are shared regularly in our Discord server. It’s a low-effort strategy – mostly buying and waiting – but it requires a lot of patience. The coins are tied up until the right moment arrives.
